When you arrive, she is alert and reports intermittent palpitations. Her pulse is 92/min, blood pressure is 118/74 mm Hg, respiratory rate is 18/min, and oxygen saturation is 97% on room air. A nurse, respiratory therapist, functioning peripheral IV, emergency medications, and a monitor/defibrillator are immediately available.
